Well Establised Library

The college library, “Jnansagar” has a rich collection of books, reference materials, journals, computers, e-resources and exclusive reading rooms for teachers and trainees along with Internet connectivity. The library is fully automated with remote access facility.

Gymnasium

The college has a well established gymnasium for trainees and staff to ensure their good physical health. The gymnasium has a good variety of equipments for exercising the body and increasing physical strength.

Power Back Up

The college has a high capacity generator to provide 24 hours power back up so that the regular activities of the college do not get hampered due to power cut.

Multipurpose Hall

The college has two spacious multipurpose halls, one at the ground floor named “Maitree” and another at the second floor named “Samhati” to serve the purpose of organizing seminars, observation days, celebrations etc. which requires mass gathering. The ground floor hall is also made accessible by local schools/organizations and others for organizing programs for local community.

Ladies Common Rooms

To facilitate the female trainees to spend quality leisure time and also to get treated during the sickness the ladies common room, with attached washroom and vending machine, has good seating arrangement along with the provision of a sick bed.

College Own Playground

The college has a very big play ground protected by well built boundary walls on all sides. The ground provides good enough space for the trainees and staff to take walks, play outdoor games etc. The big trees at the boundary offer a pleasant view to all. The ground is also made accessible by the local community people for conducting karate classes for children, holding games tournaments for local people, taking evening walks by senior citizens, organizing fairs and other festivals like Durga Puja etc. to ensure a harmonious co-existence with the community.
The college ensures a green campus with “free Wi fi Zone”, “No plastic Zone” and “No Smoking Zone”.

Women's Hostel

To facilitate and support the noble cause of women education and empowerment, the college has a well-established women’s Hostel funded by UGC, State Govt. and College development fund to cater to the needs of female trainees from distant places. The two-storied hostel has 36 seat capacities with a visitor’s zone, big dining hall, a kitchen along with store room, running water and electricity. The hostel is under CCTV surveillance and has security guards for 24 hours.

Pure Drinking Water Facilities

Being committed to the agenda of safety and hygiene, the college has a number of Aqua guard water purifiers set up at various strategic points and one Aqua guard with cooler facility to supply pure and safe drinking water to trainees and staff. In hours of need, the local people also avail this facility under the guidance of the college staff.

Computer Labs With Well Internet Facilities

“Jnandarshan”, the ICT lab with a good number of computers with strong LAN connection and one interactive board helps trainee teachers to become competent and confident users of ICT based technology enriched with the basic knowledge and soft skills to facilitate teaching learning process.

Multi Media Supported Teaching Learning Process

With a note of acknowledgement and appreciation of the rising demand of integrating ICT with the conventional teaching-learning process the college has fixed LCD projectors in all classrooms, laboratories and one multipurpose hall, one movable projector to meet the need of availing it wherever required, one smart interactive board in ET lab and one virtual classroom.

Indoor & Outdoor Sports Facilities

To achieve the goal of “Sound mind in a sound body” the college offers several indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Provisions of various indoor games like badminton, cricket, volleyball, chess, carom etc. are there. The annual sports meet is held annually in the college ground.

Well Furnised Class Rooms With Audio Systems

Apart from the laboratories and pedagogy classrooms, the college has two classrooms namely, ‘Teesta’ and ‘Torsa’ named after two major rivers of North Bengal which are well equipped with ICT support like free Wi fi, fixed projectors, boards and audio system.

College Own Compound With Boundaries

The college is situated on its own campus well protected by the well-built boundary walls on all sides. There are one main and other two more entry points to enter the campus. The college building and hostel are under constant CCTV surveillance. The college compound has security guards for 24 hours.

Laboratories in Psychology, Physical Science, Life Science, Educational Technology and Languages

To facilitate “learning by doing” the college has well equipped labs for Science, Social Science, Educational Technology cum Language, Psychology, Mathematics, and Art & craft room, Physical Education room etc.
